The State of Clemson Football

As some of you guys may know, Clemson is located in South Carolina. We are the Clemson Tigers and have a NCAA Football Championship in 1981. Since then, the fanbase has been wanting more and more and the coaches since then have not been able to give us what we want. Another championship.

Our current coach, Dabo Swinney, hasn't had the best season. Last year he took us to the ACC Championship under now NFL Rookie CJ Spiller, and NFL Rookie Standout WR Jacoby Ford (he plays for the raiders). We lost that game to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and I like most of the fanbase was pretty sad.

This last season we finished up 6-7. Our first losing season in forever. This caused the fanbase to be in a uproar and it looked like we were gonna riot. But we didn't. Dabo appeased the fans by firing offensive coordinator Billy Napier. Napier didn't look like a competent offensive coordinator this year when we didn't have Spiller and Ford.

In recent news, Dabo has hired former Tulsa offensive coordinator Chad Morris. Morris turned Tulsa around in one year and had them in the top ten in every offensive categeory. He runs a spread that resembles this year's national championship squad Auburn. This has excited the Clemson fanbase, and hopefully Morris can get us back to where we belong.

In recruiting news, Clemson is still going strong. We are in the top 10 on both Rivals and Scout.com and that's just with the commitments we have right now. Marlin Lane, a 4 star RB out of Florida, was dropped from the recruiting for apparently taking other visits to schools and a marijuana possession charge in December. This recruiting weekend will be big. I'll let you guys know Monday how it went.
